Some Good News

Well, the social worker called. We already have ICPC(?) approval! This isn''t suppose to happen until HCO is issued, then we would have to wait on I-600 approval. Well, tomorrow we get to send our I-600 form off! That means we possibly might travel in February!! Oh,.... I am so excited....and nervous.... I have an adoption shower on Thursday. Can't wait for that, we'll probably get to finish Zech's room now! This is going quick now! Thank the Lord!!

Still Waiting.....

Just thought I would post a little something. Not much is going on, we sent our passport applications off Monday. Megan and Macey decided they would like to go to HK with us, so they are getting their passports too. I don't think it's taking as long as it was, we should have them probably in 4 weeks. I did receive a medical report on Zech. It said he has high TSH level, but thyroid hormones were normal. They found small nodules on the left lobe of his thyroid. This should just be monitiored. I was really hoping to have Zech by his birthday(2/25), but that probably won't happen. We will just wait and pray.

Oh my gosh!!

Lots happened yesterday! We received our USCIS approval, and the HK orphanage thinks it would be in Zechariah's best interest if we travelled to HK to pick him up! So, we're going to Hong Kong!! How exciting!! I have to admit, I am a little scared but the excitement of getting Zech out weighs it by far!! He has been with his foster family for over 2 years, so they want the foster mother to "hand" him to us. Plus, we will have time to visit with him a couple days so he can get use to us. I think I have so many questions to ask when I get there, but every time I start to write them down, I go blank. Still don't know the date, but now we have to go get passports. Also, our official match date is Dec. 21, 2007. That's one less week to wait! Keep praying! Thanks, Rhonda.

We're approved!!!!

Just received a phone call from our SW, we have matching approval from HK!!! My grandfaher passed away on the night of Dec. 23, 2007 so we have had a rough few days, this was quite a blessing to hear!!!!! We should have him home soon!!!

What now?!

Just received a letter from USCIS requesting an addendum to our home study. Apparently it recommends us for approval, but should state we are approved by our home study preparer. I have contacted our SW and am waiting a return call from her. I was SOooooo excited when I seen the letter, thinking it was our 171 form, but it's not. Hopefully all will happen soon. It's getting more and more frustrating, but I need to keep it in proper perspection, it has only been 4 months. It seems longer to us because we first seen Zech in April. Nothing more from HK yet, so still waiting there too. Merry Christmas!

New DVD

Well, we received a new dvd of Zechariah!! He has grown so much since the last one, and he is cuter than ever!! We will not be getting him before Christmas, our hopes now are by his 4th birthday(Feb. 25). We are still waiting for the official match from HK, then we will have to wait for high court order. The adoption process has went really well, it is the wait that is driving us all crazy! I am still getting his room ready. We have presents for him, clothes (though he will need a lot more!) and misc. stuff. At the end of Oct., Zechariah was 35 inches tall and weighed 25lbs. He is a tiny little boy!! Each day we anxiously wait for the mail to run, hoping we will have news about him, usually there is nothing, so the day we received the new dvd was very exciting. Its about 35 minutes long and I have watched it over and over, always noticing something new each time. Can't wait to hold our son!!!

It's Been awhile

Well, haven't heard anthing in awhile. All our training is completed, we are just waiting to hear something from USCIS and HK. Not patient, but waiting. Haven't heard how Zechariah is since he got out of the hospital, but I know God is taking care of him!! I will post as soon as I hear something.
