We're Home!!

Okay, we got back home Saturday night. I guess I would have to say we had a very successful trip. Zech should be fully operational after the operation. We seen urology while we were there in hopes that both surgeries could be done together. After all the testing, we have found out that Zech is not emptying his bladder all the way. I guess his bladder neck is narrow and it has too much pressure. They want to put him on medicine that will relax the bladder neck, however, as with any medicine there are side effects that would affect his bowels, Soooo.....I am taking him back to Vanderbilt and staying with that doctor so they can keep an eye on his kidney function (which is showing some damage already) and hope that when this doctor does his urinary surgery, he can also correct the bladder neck. Zech's colon doctor said the Nashville doctor was one of the best urologist's in the world!! I too felt the confidence with him just like I felt the confidence with Zech's colon doctor.
Zech picked up a stomach virus while we were there so we've just been laying around since we've been home. He's doing much better today, but I thought we would still rest.
I feel bad for Meggie, she's had a lot on her plate at the stores since I've been gone. She was also sick, but doing better now.
Macey is done with school until sometime in January. The girls had a Christmas tree up and lights on the front porch when we got home.....merry Christmas to me!!
This is going to be a great Christmas!! Not lots of presents, just lots of love and family time!!! So excited!
One more thing, the Ronald McDonald House, wow!! What an awesome place! I hope no one ever has to experience their child in the hospital for a long time where they need to stay at one, but what a blessing to so many families!! Please remember them when thinking about donating to something. Even if its buying extra soap or paper towels, they need it!!
Thanks for all your prayers!!!

We are on our Way!!

Well, I tried to update the blog the other day, typed a whole bunch, then it wouldn't post and I lost it all! Lets try again. Zech and I are at the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati, OH while he is seeing some doc's at the Children's Hospital. Lots of tests, probing and proding, cries and laughs. We have been here a week, and at least another week to go. All that said, we did get wonderful news Friday. With one more surgery on his intestines, Zech should be functioning properly ALL BY HIMSELF!! So excited!! We went and bought some "BIG" Boy undies the other day...SpongeBob of course! If they can get us on the schedule we will have the surgery while we are here, if not, it will be the first of February. During that time, he will also have a hernia repair.

This next week will entail x-rays every day, going to the endocrinologist, ultrasounds, and going to the urologist. Zech also has to have a surgery on his urinary system, and I'm hoping to be able to do that along with the intestinal surgery. If not, that will be a couple more trips up here.

I know it probably sounds like a lot in black and white, but Zech is really doing well!!

Tom was able to stay with us this weekend. Zech was SOoooo excited!! (I think Tom was too!)

I don't believe I've ever stayed away from home this long, I miss my girls!! They're both so independent, they probably don't even realize I'm gone (though they miss Zech!)

Well, going to wind down for the night....take care!

How are things going?!

Well, everything has been extemely hectic lately. Everything is well now, though in the last three weeks we've been to the ER twice, plus doctor appointments, plus life! Zech is well though. He seems so healthy to have all these issues (all to do with his digestive system and urinary system). Zech is starting to say complete sentences. A lot is not "clear" to most, but mommy understands! We're still learning sign language, I really think that helps.
Halloween was fun. Zech was a LEGO part of the time, then he was a cowboy. Once he realized that running to people's door, hollering "Trick or Treat", and smiling got him food, he was ALL about it!
Macey is still going to school, working, and planning her wedding. Things are going well there....she's such a determined person!
Megan is working ALL the time! She's got quite a few parties and concerts after hours, so she's working quite a bit. She has fun though! She's hangs in there quite well and never complains!
Tom, well he's working too and then plays music when he's home. He's also doing great!
So, most the time it's just me and Zech......we have a lot of fun together! Wow, what would I do without him?! Such a blessing!!
Until next time......

Updates

Well, today we're off to North Carolina to go get Zech's sister (foster sister from Hong Kong) for the weekend. We're really excited and anxious to see if Zech remembers her....I'm sure he will. She is going to NCU for a while, not sure how long. But anyways, we're excited.
Zech has an appointment at Vandy Nov. 16th to see about doing the surgery there, his medical records are being sent to Cincinnatti for review, they are setting up appointments in December for surgery...so if we go there, looks like we'll be in the hospital for Christmas. Don't really mind, just want to get him well.
Tom's waiting on me so we can leave....will keep you updated!

Recovering....

Yesterday Zech went in for minor surgery and some biopsies of his intestines, checking to see if all the nerve cells are there and working. I am not sure how I feel about what the surgeon thinks; however we are closer to a solution. Without knowing the exact issue at birth and what exactly was done in his original surgery, its hard to know what the intestines "look" like on the inside. Anyways, they think the nerve cells are there, but the anus is not in the right spot. So, he will have to undergo 2-3 major surgeries to correct this. He will be back on a colostomy bag while the surgery heals. I do not know when this will all take place, but the sooner the better. With all this said, bowel control is not guaranteed, but the odds will be better.
Also, while doing these tests yesterday, the minor surgery could not be done because they found some urinary issues that need corrected surgically. We're up to 3-4 major surgeries now. I was a basket case yesterday, I can't imagine what it will be like in the coming months. I feel so bad for him!! I can't stand it! Poor little guy!
Anyways, I know I'll be able to deal with it, just hope he's okay! I'll know more details in a couple weeks about his bottom. I go Monday to see about the urinary issues.
He's doing fine today. Not in too much pain, he's a little trooper! We've played with his cars, made tunnels with his blocks, and had a pretty good day!
Will keep everyone posted. Please pray for my little man!
Thanks and God Bless!

What will today bring.....

Good morning! Sitting here drinking my coffee, watching Zech build a robot with his Mega Blocks. This is a new thing he started yesterday, have no idea where he got this idea, but regardless he's having fun doing it. He'll take a break from it to race some cars down a ramp and see which ones make it around a loop. The car his ma and pa got him is by far the fastest!

My goal today, get all things ready for the coming school week. Yes, I am trying to be organized....daytimer, papers in a folder, coffee ready to make, and clothes laid out.

Tom leaves for work after church today...the weekends are just too short! Megan will probably hang out with us today, don't know for sure, she stays pretty social lately. Macey has to work and then starts school tomorrow. The time of seeing her a lot will be over, and then in June 2010, she will be getting married and leaving the home for good.

Well, have a wonderful day.....until next time!

Wow, It's Been Three Months.

No excuse. Three month?! Way too long! I think maybe sometimes you feel like no one looks at your blog, but then again, its really a great way to journal. E-mail seems easier and Facebook is great! Then there's the interuptions.....good ones sometimes, aggrevating ones other times. Regardless, they are interuptions, you lose your train of thought, and then you're over it.

Anyways, so what has the last three months brought our way? Well, we had two other children for about 6 weeks, then the grandmother missed them, and they went back to Nashville. They were missed, but I was honestly thankful to have my Zechariah for myself once again! My life, my completion, my inspiration is doing just wonderful!! He has grown like a weed! Weighs 31.5 lbs now and 38.5 inches tall! He learns something new every day! He started school full time a week ago, we were "testing" him in an IEP meeting and the teacher said "slow down, leave something for me to teach him". I was a proud momma! He knows all his letters, numbers, and shapes. Can count and picks things out when you say "give me three, or the blue one, or the #3, or the letter L"...you get the picture. Anyways, he's a smart cookie! At school he makes sure all the other kids are okay, consoles them when they're crying, etc...

My sister was real sick for a few weeks (she's better now), we went to Michigan to see my Grandma, we swam a lot....which, by the way, Zech is really good at swimming now, we did the Movies on the Square again this year (our 3rd year). Other than that, it was a pretty calm summer.

I hope this post finds all who read it well and wonderful! I'm going to go now and catch up on some blogs that I haven't read lately. It will not be so long next time. I will try to post at least once a week, hopefully more. Take care and God bless!

How things change!!!

Okay, what's been going on with us? Well...a couple weeks ago we were asked if Zech needed a brother...that has a sister. This request came from a relative by marriage whose sister has custody of her 3 yr old grandson and 1 yr old granddaughter. She has been diagnosed with a terminally ill disease. Well, we prayed about it. Talked about it. Asked people for advice, and decided that this was the right thing to do and so, we will do it. We were suppose to pick them up today, but the people who are helping take care of them now are having a really hard time, they asked for one more week. We totally put this in God's hands, so what will be, will be. If God chooses for us to have 2 more children, then we become a family of 7! If he chooses for this to be a time that we help 2 children while their mother gets help, then we will stay a family of 5, but will have been blessed by helping. Sorry to keep everyone wondering, but we have had LOTS to be doing trying to get ready! Oh, I also wanted to note that I spoke with the school and our SW for Zech, and all parties agree that it would benefit Zech. I think they think he might be getting a little too spoiled :)............no way ;) ! So, I can't believe how much my life has changed in 1 year!! Life is Good!

Please Remember this.

I was reading another blog that really touched me. Tom and I are in the process of making a BIG decision, how much more confirmation do we need?!! So, those who wonder why we do the things we do, here are some words for you:

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
'37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Mt. 25:35-40

So many things to update!

Boy, technology is getting complicated!! I have so many websites/blogs now, I don't know how to keep up!! We been working the past couple weeks getting websites up for our businesses and then there is some ning.com community for business, and then there is facebook. All these are great networking tools, but it's so time consuming! Anyways, things have been going great, though Zech and I have been really sick the last week! Today is the first day we both have felt ok. We have had some kind of eye thing going on...not an infection, but our eyes and face have been swollen. I first tried natural, or course...then went ahead and went to the doctor..we went back to natural and are doing better. My scanning device says it's sinus, so that's what I've been treating it as.
Anyways, my Grandma is visiting from Michigan (and my aunt and uncle). She's going to be staying a couple week. Joni and Rich are leaving Monday. We're all going to see my cousins in a play tomorrow, Tom is going to have Daddy day with Zech.
I got Zech's school pictures back, OMG, TOO Cute!! I'll have to see if I can get them scanned into the computer.
I have been looking at possibly getting Zech a service/therapy dog. The more I read, the more I really think it will be good for him. I'll probably just get one and have it trained or train it ourselves. I really would like Rottweiler for him. They are such great dogs!! We'll see. I'll try to post pictures soon, and now that we have are websites up, maybe I'll have more time.

Numbers are too fun!!!

I can't believe it! Zech and I were singing the Numeral Song, while he was holding his drawing board, and he actually WROTE THE NUMBERS 1, 2, and 3!! I was so happy!! I just can't get over how quick he is learning! He can say most of his numbers and shapes, but he can't say his S's and some other sounds. I'm starting to make out a lot more that he's saying....like "Go Get It".....and I did (go figure). Okay, I guess I need to get him to bed...Thanks for listening.

Life is too fast!!

I'm two days late on this post. My oldest just turned 22 Monday. I can't believe I have a daughter that old! I don't feel much older than that! She is actually on her way to LA right now. She's flying in to see a friend and then they are driving back on Route 66. This is the first time I can think of that she has ventured out without one of us. I usually get to go on her adventures with her. I already miss her! Zech is not feeling well. He has been throwing up all day. He just got through eating some soup. Hopefully he'll be able to keep it down. I probably won't be sending him to school tomorrow. It would have been his first Easter Egg hunt. Oh well, we'll have to practice. I added some pics of Zech's birthday with this post...I'm so late on everything...oh well, I'm getting better!

Zech's Magic!!!

A little story behind the video. Zech was originally sitting in the recliner. I pretended to make the foot go up and down without touching it(megan was using the lever)...he was so amazed and thought he would try too!!

Friday, March 27, 2009

Wow...It's been a while!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything in so long. I can't find my cord to download pictures, I'll search high and low this weekend! Things are great! Zech seems to grow and make progress every day. He is starting to talk more, wearing his glasses every day, and learning more and more! He is still the hit of the town! Everywhere I go, people stop and comment on how cute he is! He is growing MORE attached to me! I love it, but I wonder at what point do I try to have him bond more with other people. Don't get me wrong, he loves his daddy and sisters and does well at school, but he's always making sure I'm around. I absolutely love it! That unconditional, you can do no wrong, kind of love.....NOTHING like it!

We've started planting some seeds for our garden. We started them inside to get a little jump start. I hope the weather is good enough to get the ground plowed up this weekend. Tom will have to handle that part. Megan is helping me with everything (she actually did the start up part). I think it will be a lot of work this summer, but it will be fun and great family time!

Macey is still working, going to school, and planning her wedding.....exciting times! They have set the date for June 12, 2010. Over a year away, but Macey doesn't procrastinate anything (she didn't get that from me!) She is already wanting my guest list! They have the place picked out where they are going to have it. It's really nice! It's a bed and breakfast and will be held outdoors. The gentleman that owns it is a professional landscaper and has gorgeous, antique flowers! Right now nothing is really bloomed, but it will look great in the summer months.

Everybody seems to have their own life. Lately it's just me and Zech a lot. I rarely get to see Macey. Tom I get to see about 1 1/2 days a week. Megan, well she's around more but lately seems to be busier than usual.

My Baby Girl.....

Well, my baby girl is engaged!!! Her boyfriend asked her to marry him Tuesday. We knew it was coming, he asked Tom and then myself before he asked her. He's a really great guy, and though I will greatly miss her, I know she will be very happy....I've never seen anyone's eyes light up as hers do when he walks in the room or even if they spent all day together, then he calls her. They really do love each other! It's going to be next year sometime, so I still have a lot of time with her. Zech will be the ring barer! How cute will that be?!
Zech has been doing great! We had the IEP meeting at the school this week. It went very well. Zech will now be receiving one on one speech therapy once a week plus two group sessions.
The room where he receives physical and occupational therapy is bigger than I originally thought. It just needs to be brighten up, which I volunteered to paint, but it will have to wait until summer.
I also stressed my concerns of not teaching Zech based on his lable of Down Syndrome, I said he is an individual and HIS needs are to be looked at and focused on, I don't want any assumptions(I've heard so many....and they totally don't apply to Zech).
He has come such a long way! He can count and say his numbers. He knows his colors and how to say them. He can identify letters. He can blow (and he did a great job blowing his candle out on his birthday).
All is good!!!
I haven't posted pictures lately, I have to "find" my cord. I really haven't looked a lot, I just think it will pop up somewhere..
Until next time....................

Zec's Birthday Party--Success!!

Well, Saturday we ad Zech a big SpongeBob Birthday party! It turned out so good!! Zech totally understood the party was for him, and actually blew out the candle(s)!! He knows he is five years old! There were over 41 people there, friends and family. We had chips and dip, homemade fried rice and noodles with soup. My friend Jenny helped me do the food(I actually think I helped her do the food), Megan and Macey decorated, and another friend made his SpongeBob cake. He received a lot of gifts. Each time he opened one, he was so excited and then I would take it away to hand him another one, the look on his face is not describable! He would get so disappointed wanting to play with the current gift that I was taking a way.
After the party, Tom and I went to some friends house where I learned how to make Sushi. So, we were out very late that night. Sunday we brought all Zech's presents to our home, it was like a party again and he actually got to play with them all then.
Everything else has been going great. We finally have a really good insurance for Zech now (that is going to help out tremendously).
School is now providing a half hour individual speech therapy. (This happened and we haven't even had the official meeting!) I went and looked at his physical therapy room again yesterday. It is bigger than I originally thought. They had some currents pulled when I was there the first time, so it is bigger than I thought. It is still loud (next to the mechanical room) and very drab (grey and dark blue), so I am still going to address that.
Well, until next time.......Oh, I will post pics later of the party.

Zech

Zech's Auntie Alice (Foster Mom) sent him a Birthday present. It's a stuffed hippo that has her voice recorded on it saying "Happy Birthday". Zech loved it! He has pushed the button over and over to hear her. I went and got their picture to make sure he knew it was her (I really don't think I needed the picture....he knew). He was smiling ear to ear! Zech looks chubby in this picture, he really isn't.....he's tiny!
We will be having a birthday party at the Coffee Shop Saturday. He has lots of friends and family coming. My friend, Jenny, will be making a traditional Chinese dinner for him....I am so excited.

My Baby is Five!!!!

I can't believe Zech is 5 years old today!! So tiny, so sweet!! He's been home only 9 months and now he's 5! I try to treasure each and every moment with him. I can't believe I missed 4 years of being with him!! Dwelling on that I could cry, but instead I will choose to think about the numerous years ahead of us. The numerous hugs and kisses......
Well, Happy Birthday Zech!

Disappointed in School System

Well, yesterday I had a meeting with OT and Speech Therapist. The OT was very informative. Lot's of things she told me made sense, helped me to understand some of Zech's "ways". She always said "Zech" does this or can't do that. She gave me exercises that I can do at home to help him. So, I learned quite a bit from the OT. Then the speech therapist came in. Zech is currently gets speech with a group. She didn't even at like she knew much about Zech. Never said his name or even "he". She always said "kids with down syndrome" have thick tongues or can talk and just don't want to. I finally said "you must not know Zech very well, doctors have told me he does not have the typical thick tongue, and he talks ALL the time (we just can't understand him)". Then I said I think he would benefit with one on one speech therapy. She said check with my insurance and go to Cookeville. I was totally shocked with her attitude!
Okay, then I go pick him up in the Physical Therapy room. First time I had been there, I thought he went to the gym for that. OMG, It was a large closest off of the mechanical room. Grey and dark blue, like it had previously been a storage room or the Janitors closet. I don't know what is legally required by the state, but this is totally unacceptable to me!!
So, needless to say, I am going to call for another IEP. I am going to request one on one speech therapy and ask what the deal is with the physical therapy room. We'll see what happens.

On another note, Zech and I have the flu. We are going to rest up today, and will feel better tomorrow. Macey had an accident last night. She is fine, but it really scared her. I have told both girls to slow it down, I think they will listen now! I just thank God she wasn't hurt!!!

Have a blessed day!!

Morning Coffee and Kisses

This morning when I got up, I was sipping on a delicious cup of coffee when my precious son came runnning in to the living room. He smiled at me and proceeded to give me the best kisses in the world!!!
Tom and I had went out last night....I guess he missed me!
What a wonderful feeling!!!
It's so funny, regardless if it's an evening out or just going to work, I miss Zech so much! The girls are the same way. If they coome home and he's sleeping, they get so upset because they have missed him all day!
So, today I am thankful for so many things. Especially Coffee and Kisses!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Exciting, isn't it? Okay, seriously, I've never been big on this type of holiday. I am not a romantic, just a sentimentalist. I believe EVERY day you should let people know how much you love them! With Christmas, birthdays, Easter, etc.... things are too commercial. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving....Family getting together, blessing the food, and eating!! Food is blessed more on that day, by more people, than any other day of the year. Do you know why food is blessed? Microwaved, BLESSED food is better for you than organic, raw UN-Blessed food. Okay, anyways, if Valentine's is important to you, then I truly hope you have a wonderful, romantic, heart filled day!!!(We are actually going to a valentine's dinner benefit tonight...I am excited!)
God Bless!!!

Catching Up

Again, we've been extremely busy! Things have been going great (except business has been slowing down quite a bit). Zech has had a little cold, but has been a little comedian! The other day, I had put Zech down for a nap, he decided he wanted to style his hair......with VASELINE!!

I had to wash it at the kitchen sink. It took 8 times to get it to look like this:

This is after blow drying it....It took 2 days to completely get it out. He had it all over his cheeks (probably good for that.....his cheeks were chapped).
How fun it was. He started crying after the 6th time washing it, he was ready to watch Sponge Bob.
His 5th birthday is coming up. I don't know if we'll celebrate the 21st or the 28th. Regardless, we will still have something on his actual birthday.

Vanderbilt

Well, Tom and I adventured to Vanderbilt with Zechariah for some more tests concerning his intestines. Everything is structuraly okay; however, he is totally filled, top to bottom, with...well...stuff. We are on another clean-out program (totally not fun!), but hopefully this will do the trick. Once again, he was the hit of the hospital, he just brightens every room he enters! We went to dinner tonight with some friends, and they said exactly what I was thinking, he brightens a room, and more importantly, my life!!!

Still trying to get things settled with insurance. Everyone keeps pushing the disability card...meaning I have to apply for all these things just to get a good insurance that I want to pay for! Now, even though the adoption is final, I have to prove he is a US citizen. For $500 that won't be a problem, it may take 3 months, but I can do it....crazy?! I was told I can get a passport and that should work, so Monday, we will be getting Zechariah a passport.

Macey is back in school and still working. Doing well I might add.

Megan is working hard at the Coffee Shop. Things have been extremely slow....I guess the economy is starting to hit us. On our 2nd floor, we've opened the "2nd Story Bookstore" (a used book store)...my very creative Aunt Gina thought of the name...love the pun!!!

Tom, well he (and Zech) have been working wood. Trying to get enough for our furnace to get us through the winter. I'll tell you one thing, trying to live as an agrarian is pretty tough(please note no political opinion is to be tied to that lifestyle, just trying to save money and be healthier!)

Well, that's it in a nutshell (pretty big nut).....

Until next time!!

ABR Results

Well, when I first got the results to the ABR test, I was needless to say, disappointed. But after thinking about it, it really wasn't anything I didn't already know...I guess I was just hoping for better. Zech has no hearing in his right ear, but hears in the normal range in his left ear (which is better since the tubes have been put in). He does have an issue with low tones, but nothing that hinder his speech and learning. He has actually been talking quite a bit lately. He isn't speaking very clear, but we are starting to understand quite a bit. He knows his colors now, and has been calling everyone by their name. It's really quite adorable! It's good to be back home. I have been trying to clean the house (nothing unusual), but adding a little feng shui as I go. If nothing else, it's practical. I was definitely not gifted with organization skills. Don't get me wrong, I totally know how, it just doesn't pan out well. I make great progress, but somehow it just doesn't last. Oh well, it everything was perfect, what would we do?! Until next time.....

We've been away!

Sorry it's been so long since I last blogged, but I have been out of town (still am). This is the first chance I have had internet. Everything is going great! Zech is doing wonderful! He is actually talking a lot more, and his face is cleared up. I take him Friday for the ABR test. We'll know then about hearing aides. He is such a blessing (I know I say that all the time). I know this isn't much, but I don't have much time. I'll catch up this weekend.

Update on Blood

Blood work came back good!!! Zech was looking better, but now he has started turning real red again. He's on antibiotic, so hopefully by morning he'll be good. I almost forgot to tell every that Saturday night we went to some new friends house. The wife is from China and made homemade Sushi and fried rice. OMG, it was so good! Zech really bonded to her, it was neat to see he still recognizes his language. I learned a couple sayings. Jenny (the wife) is suppose to help me to learn to cook some chinese and speak a little. I actually believe it was Cantonese that I learned, I'll have to ask, but anyways it was really nice. The first thing she said to Zech, he leaned up and kissed her cheek. It was so sweet!!!I also found a picture of all of us in Hong Kong in front of Zech's school (posted above). Mrs. Lau, Zech's foster mother, is on the left. When he seen the picture, he got a big smile on his face and pointed at Mrs. Lau. I'm sure he still misses her greatly. I'm glad I have a picture of all of us with her in it. We are getting it printed and going to have it setting out so Zech can see it on a regular basis. Thanks again Mrs. Lau for all you've done!!!

Update on our family

I've got pictures to post later. Right now I am waiting for a call from the doctor's office about some blood work on Zech. Right now he has a staph infection on his face. He looks horrible, but is acting fine. It's all over the left side of his face and goes behind the ear and up in his hairline. We got our final adoption papers in the mail today, so I need to go change his social security number(it is currently under his biological mother's name. He started school this week (won't be going today or tomorrow). He wasn't too happy about that. He loves being home. This past Saturday, we took him to my nephew's birthday party at Bounce Zone(has a bunch of bounce houses). He's been before, but this time he could actually do a lot by himself. He was climbing and sliding, having a ball!! Logging is still going on here, when it's not raining, we are finally able to start paying some bills off(praise the Lord!!)
This weekend I want to get some ground ready for a garden....I know, like I need more on my plate(no pun intended). We are really trying to be more self reliant(the start was with our new wood furnace). We also want to be healthier...thus it will be an organic garden. I got a heavy duty nut cracker yesterday. I've been cracking some pecans a friend picked up from his yard. I had just found out that you can actually can nuts. We use so many in baking, I thought this would help save some money.
Well, I will keep you posted on Zech's blood work.....please keep him in your prayers!

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone has a very blessed 2009! We had a nice time at home tonight, playing games and laughing! Just a note on Zechariah's visit to the doctor Monday afternoon, it wasn't great news. The tubes seem to be doing what they are suppose to, however, he still isn't hearing. We are taking him Jan.23 for a sedated ABR test. At which point, he will be evaluated for hearing aids or some kind of implant. Please keep him in your prayers.
Thanks!!!
