Today our SW is coming for her final visit with Zechariah. After that we will be ready to finalize the adoption. We are so excited!!! Not that it changes how we feel or anything, but he will legally be a Dawson! How exciting!! Zech also goes for a hearing test today. We have been waiting to get him into an ENT, but we have to have the hearing test first for the referal. Can't wait for that to get settled. Macey has been working a lot. She likes it, but it seems odd not seeing her as much as we use to. Megan has been working a lot too. It's Christmas season and she has quite a few parties booked. I try to post later and let everyone know how the visit and testing goes. The picture above was taken on the square of Sparta. We were having a "Souper Bowl" that day (soup and chili cook off). Tom's band was playing.
God Bless!!

Working with Reece's Rainbow and two adoption agencies, RainbowKids.com is putting together a very special article on adopting a child with DS internationally. You were recommended as a parent resource and I would love to have your input for our article. The article will be positive, informative and encouraging to pre-adoptive families. Would you be willing to spend a few moments sharing your experiences for this article? The main questions we have are:
1. What originally led you to adopt? Did you set out to adopt a child with DS, or was this a decision made during the adoption process?
2. Can you share a few details about your adoption process? (This is where you may mention the referral, agency, waiting process, travel, country, any special resources that could help families, etc.)
3. How old are your children now and how has their adjustment to your family been?
4. Are there any other comments or encouragements that you would like to offer to a prospective family?
Thank you and my very best wishes to you and your family!
